Welcome to Adina Foundation Uganda

Adina foundation Uganda offers holistic rehabilitation to Children with Disability (CWD) through physical rehabilitation; Physiotherapy, corrective surgery and provision of assistive devices, education through; catch up classes at the rehabilitation Centre and education sponsorship in formal and vocational training schools, psychosocial and livelihood support.

WHAT WE DO

Education

Adina Foundation Uganda’s Education Sponsorship Program Supports children with disabilities from vulnerable households and those that were denied the right to education by their own parents due to stigma and discrimination. The program has supported over 200 beneficiaries to date from Lira and Alebtong districts.

Social Works

Adina Foundation Uganda uses the Community based rehabilitation aproach of parents support groups within the community and it is intended to increase access to rehabilitation services to CWDs, 63 parents support groups have been established in Lira and Alebtong district, in the sub region of lango since project inception.

Physiotherapy

The role of the physiotherapy department in Adina Foundation Uganda is to provide Physical Rehabilitation to Children with Physical disabilities through physiotherapy, provision of assistive devices and facilitating children to access lifesaving surgeries.

Adina Farm

The Adina Foundation is supporting a project in collaboration with the University of Bergen. The project is working on improving weather forecasting, and extreme weather prediction in East Africa. Small farmers have to adapt to climate change, where extreme weather and new patterns of rain.
